Charity Basketball Game
Unfortunately,the BIFD Basketball team lost in the game on 1-11-02. The final score was 34-20. However, a great time was had by all. With more than 675 people in attendance, the BIPD jumped out to an early lead and could not be caught. All of the pre-game and half-time festivities were wonderful. Most members of Second Shift participated. Second Shift scored a combined 9 of our 20 points. Jim Klinker had 4. Chris D. had 3. and Lt. Mike had 2. Thanks to all who showed up and supported us.

Charity Softball Game
The Blue Island Little League hosted a Hometown Heroes Celebration on Saturday May 4, 2002 at Hart Park. The day was to honor ALL of Blue Island's "Hometown Heroes." In attendance were veterans, military personnel as well as the local Police Dapartment and Fire Department. A great time was had by all. The highlight of the day was a softball game between the PD and FD. The game was close but the GOOD GUYS won this one by a final score of 16 - 11. All members of Second Shift were present and had key roles in our victory. The members of Second Shift would like to thank Blue Island Little League for all of their hard work in putting together such a wonderful event! The profits from this game will go into the B.I.L.L. Light Fund!

2nd Annual Charity Basketball Game
On March 1, 2003 the F.D. played the P.D. in the Second Annual Basketball Game. The F.D. came back twice from 12 points down only to pull up short and lose by 4 points. Once again a great time was had by all who attended as well as played in this worthwhile event. Special thanks to all who organized this fun game. Game details will be posted soon.
